They flew as fast as they could. Robin was ahead, so he grabbed the bell cord with his beak and flew back and forth until the bell started to ring. Ding dong, ding dong, the big bell rang. Ding dong, angels sang, all over heaven land! Robin heard a big sigh of relief from his angel friend. A few days passed and the two friends went to play again. They got tired singing and dancing in the rain. Angelique threw her whole body on the hammock that they found tied between two tall trees. Robin rested on top of her purple left wing and they fell asleep. Honey Bee came buzzing by and landed on Robin’s nose. He woke up and shook Angelique’s wing. “Oops! I’m late for the bell!” she screamed. It was already ten minutes past seven. She flew back to the church, and Robin and Honey Bee followed. Ding dong, ding dong, the bell did not ring. Ding dong, ding dong, angels did not sing. What would Mother Angel say? Would she be upset? Angelique

About the Book
This book is about a special and unique angel, the only one who has purple wings. She likes to fly around and play with her friend bird Robin, that sometimes puts her in trouble. She feels left out when with all the other angels, but at the end, she found out why.
About the Author
Rosabella Garcia was born and educated in the Philippines.In 1965,at the age of nineteen, she had already earned her Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology from the University of Santo Tomas, Manila, Philippines. She retired from her profession end of December 2012 from Citrus Memorial Health System. A writer at heart, An Angel with PurpleWings is her second book, and the first Children's book she has written. Her first book , titled "Love, Lola,"is about her experiences and perceptions, through a series of letters to her first grandchild, with a liitle bit of Philippine culture, history and her funny encounters in life.
