Chapter 19
How Does Satan Plan to Subdue God, So That He May Enjoy An Unimpeded Reign?
We learned from the Prophet Isaiah that it is the intention of Satan to “ascend to heaven, “raise his throne above the stars of God” and “make himself like the most High”. The question that needs to be answered is how does he plan to achieve this?
Each one of these three objectives reflects an attack on the heavens specifically the 3rd heaven since this is the location of God’s Throne. Seizing the third heaven is the key to winning the war and taking charge over mankind. If Satan wins heaven, then earth is his for the taking. If Satan wants to realize unimpeded free rule of heaven and earth, he must first subdue God, Christ, The Holy Spirit and two-thirds of the heavenly angels. I use the word “subdue” because Isaiah clearly stated that Satan wanted to be “like the most High”.
Given that God, the creator of all that is, the most powerful being in the universe has no intentions of abdicating His throne, sharing his throne with Satan or allowing Satan to freely rule while He just sits and watches, we find Satan at a decision point. Satan must decide the following;
1. When should I make my final attack on Heaven?
2. How can I increase my combat strength prior to making my main attack on heaven?
3. What must I do with God in order to realize unimpeded rule?
What the intelligence analysis in this chapter will attempt to produce is a possible course of action on the part of Satan which will in his mind provide him with the success he needs to realize his strategic objectives.
I feel it critically important at this point to remind the reader that military intelligence officers and their teams are trained to think like the enemy. We take information we have obtained from our enemy and piece it together in an effort to learn what the enemy “will do”, not just “what did he do?” or “what is he doing” but specifically what he “will do next”. We also work to answer the question; how will he do it?
So how does Satan intend to render God, Christ, The Holy Spirit and two-thirds of the heavenly angles combat ineffective so that he can freely rule? In short, what does Satan intend to do with God?

About the Author
Mark Kelly is an US Army National Guard veteran who served as a tactical intelligence officer during his thirteen-year military career. He was trained at the US Army’s Military Intelligence Training Center. He is instructor-qualified, held a security clearance above top secret, and saw active duty in Turkey and Germany. He currently lives in South Carolina.
