Black Waters of Melancholy Submerging himself amid the black waters of melancholy Waters that swarm with the fragments of human despair Drinking in the dark thoughts then rising to exhale visions Visions that overtake the sun and befoul the purest air He glides between the corals of dark thoughts and deeds corals that drown the spirits of those who linger above Yet he finds a peace floating within these dismal waters For within the deepest dark he finds his greatest love So as you dip your fingers into these blackened waters Careful your soul will not faint at what your eyes find For waters that would take the breath from your lungs Hold the treasures that seduce the dark poetic mind By J.L. About the Author
Few people have the ability to look at the darkest corners of this life and in tranquility call these shadows their home, yet this is just what J.L. Parsons does. Many have said she houses an old soul that wonders aimlessly in this modern world, for it is in primitive mortar and stone her soul is complete. Though she does not understand her existence, this yearning for darkness compels her soul to sing in poetic verse, there by easing her misplaced spirit.
