Sparky Bites Three weeks ago sparky was out playing in the neighborhood with the usual kids, when he followed two nice little girls down the street, around the block where some more kids were playing. Those little kids were not as nice as Mary and Betty. After those two decided to go home, the other girls grabbed sparky and took him to a vacant lot, where they beat him down, roughed him up, and let him starve. They did everything they could to him, and he was badly treated. He was beaten so bad, he could not find his way home. After time had passed, he finally remembered the way home. But when he got there, guess what? He was carrying a bone. It was the bone of one of his abusers --a finger he had bitten off one of the girls. The moral of the story: “Anything with teeth will bite.” The Time of Knowing Knowing what you want. Knowing what you don't want. Knowing what you are going to do. Knowing what you want to do. Knowing where to start, and knowing that, speaks a lot about you. What Do I Know!!! Right or Wrong? Yes or No? Up or Down? In or Out? Good or Bad? Day or Night? Sane or Insane? Round or Square? Ugly or Pretty? Past or Present? I know what I know. Things are changing, the clock is ticking, time is running out. What do you know? Promises P---private R--relaxation O--on M--mars I----in a S---special E---entertainment S---spot Your Mouth Has A Mind Of Its Own They say you speak what's on your mind, but through the mouth, which has its own thoughts and you use it for your benefit. This is a very important fixture on your body that serves several purposes, but your mouth has a mind of its own. What you say comes out of it, what you eat goes into it or comes out of it. The mouth works with the mind and says what you want to be known, but not all mouths are the same. There are big ones, little ones, and a few in-between. What I have on my mind doesn't always come out of my mouth, but what is in my mouth may come out.

Gwenetta Clark is a new and upcoming writer, housewife and business woman. She is a native of Atlanta, Georgia who now resides in the Decatur area. She is very creative and loves to create something out of nothing. Also she is studying creative writing. Writing is not a hobby to her. She loves to write whether it be taking notes at a meeting or writing for others to use or to display. She is involved in several civic organizations and is active in her community, as well. She is a member of The Red Hat Society, Dekalb Neighborhood Leadership Institute, former member of ABWA Chapter and a member of a local poetry group.
