HAPPY DOG There is a happy dog that always wags his tail He was bought from an old pet shop In the closing down sale Bought by an old man who had nothing much to give But he bought the doggie just the same To give him somewhere to live There is a happy dog that always wags his tail He knows there’s always food for him Always without fail He eats his food and goes for walks Down the local park He likes to run and catch the ball He’s out till it gets dark There is a happy dog that always wags his tail He has a bed to sleep to sleep on at night Made of an old straw bail But his happiness will be short lived For although his master try’s The medicine won’t work no more Tonight his master dies There is a happy dog that always wags his tail Looking up at the letterbox Watching falling mail He doesn’t understand what it is The thing that he’s done wrong All he knows he’s in a cage and now his masters gone There once was a happy dog who use to wag his tail But now he’s sad and lonely Living only on entrails People come to look at him saying no and slam the door But don’t worry little dog I’m coming to the home I’ll say yes take you away You’ll no longer be alone We’ll be happy together you and my family No longer chained up in a cage I’ve come to set you free There is a happy dog that always wags his tail He’s happy cos of his new life That’s the end of this tale

CRACKED PAVEMENT After the success of his first book of poems and songs “-The Cul De Sac Of My Mind-“ Ian Trust has developed a cult following which is stretching across Europe and into America Ian writes it as he feels it, his work is somewhat raw and straight from the heart and soul of the man Ian is currently working on his autobiographical novel entitled “I Am Them” And his third book of poems and songs “Tunnel Vision” He has a message to tell the world and in his writing he has found the perfect tool. Another wonderful book of poems and songs to be read a little at a time rather than in one sitting. some sad some funny but all written from the heart.
About the Author
Ian Trust was born in the small market town of Henley on Thames in Oxfordshire in 1966 and enjoyed a pretty normal upbringing until an incident in his life that was to change his emotional wellbeing happened He was abused while on holiday with his parents which he kept to himself for many years and until now his parents knew nothing about it. He was later to see his parents marriage decay and watch as they went their separate ways. His father did his best to control a young boy who tried very hard to rebel against society. But it was the calming influence of his step mother who helped the boy turn into a more rounded man. Ian grew and had many relationships with many women but none were very successful as most of the women in his life were to lie and cheat making Ian an emotional wreck. one of these relationships ended with 2 wonderful children who despite their father have grown into very rounded individuals. An attempted suicide in the mid 90's made Ian open up and decide to turn his life around and so Ian was to marry in 1996 to a woman that all but him could see was not right for him and although they had 2 more children they were to divorce after 4 years due to her adulterous behavior. Ian would see his children as often as he could but his ex wife would later take them from him and to this day he doesn't know where they are. Ian remarried in 2007 but sadly it was a loveless marriage and soon dissolved. Ian now lives happily with his life partner and soulmate Sharon with their little girl Lily-May
