About the Book

Gemma is excited about her first day of school. She imagined kindergarten as a place where she would make new friends, play, and where she would be the gem of the class. When the teacher gathers the class for introductions, Gemma is eager to be one of the first to speak. However, when another classmate speaks before her, Gemma becomes shy and feels a little intimidated by the other classmate. She soon learns her first lesson at school.

About the Author

Shannon K. Mazurick has loved writing since a young age. She graduated Avon High School in 2004, University of Saint Joseph (formerly Saint Joseph College) in 2008, and Quinnipiac University in 2013. Mazurick received her Bachelors Degree in English with a minor in Psychology and received her Masters Degree in Interactive Media. Gemma: The First Day Of School With Honoray is Mazurick’s fifth published book. She is the proud author of Poetry As The Year Goes By, Reflective Poetry: Petals Of The Heart, Gemma: The Search For The Gem, and Gemma: The Treasure Hunt With Griffin. Mazurick wrote this book in hopes of illustrating how everyone is an individual and everyone should be happy trying their best.
