There are many experiences to be faced in a lifetime. In Dreams Can Come True Joshua Jacobson learns that if your dreams are good ones and are within God’s plan for you they will come true. Joshua made it a practice to pray about his dreams, to ask God for help, and to work hard to obtain the dream. His life includes happiness and sadness, love and hate, good times and hard times. He also has priorities which are: God, family, friends, education, business, helping others, and a positive attitude. Emotionally he experiences a lot of love, happiness, grief, fear of danger, humor, and the joy of finding something he didn’t know he lost. Dreams Can Come True shares how Joshua deals with the problems and surprises of life.
As a young boy, Joshua felt he was a fortunate person as he was raised by loving, caring parents. They taught him about solving problems and how to accomplish his dreams. His parents were moderately wealthy so he received benefits that the average person didn’t have. They were also generous and tried to help the less fortunate. It was their belief that no man stands alone. We each need God, family, and friends.
Joshua’s story starts at the point where he had his first big dream that he could remember. They lived in a mid-sized college town in Ohio. The college is a four year college and its name is Hope College. He liked that name because we all need hope. He also liked the name of the town which is Faith, something else we all need. The college is just a few blocks from their home. Between their home and the college there is a beautiful little community church. On nice Sundays he would go to the church and sit on the steps or lawn to listen to the music. They sang some lively, happy songs that made him feel good. His dream was to attend that church. In Dreams Can Come True you’ll find out if that dream came true and how and what happened, plus you’ll learn of some of his other dreams and what occurred because of them. Dreams like getting a college education which is pretty common for high school students. Another common dream the had was finding the right girl and getting married. Then there is the dream of what you want to do with your life. He has always wanted to be able to help others but how will he do that? Some of his dreams, his family or friends help him to accomplish. Sometimes all he needs is a little encouragement to make a dream come true. At times he faces hardships and even scary situations but he trusts God and continues on with what he knows to be God’s plan for his life. He has some loses that cause pain and heartache but he also finds blessings he never dreamed of. As he grows older he learns that you never have to be lonely as there are ways to displace any loneliness. He is a good man, a Godly man, and an inspiration to all who know him.
