Marvin becomes ill because of the carelessness of humans. Marvin teaches children that they can make a difference in saving sea turtles. Learning about the environment of sea turtles and the simple things that can be done to protect it will make a world of difference.

About the Author

Jeanne DeGrandis has been involved with sea turtle programs in Vero Beach, Florida, for ten years. She has seen the effects that carelessness and indifference make in the sea turtle environment. Jeanne does not believe that animals have rights. She believes humans have a responsibility to do what they can to protect the environment for all animals.
