My Red Boots is especially geared towards young readers; however, everyone is invited to read my book. Here’s a young woman who has a lot going for her; she’s financially set, she’s young and beautiful and very intelligent. Of course, these are not her flaws, instead its’ her personal life that causing her to question her sanity. Will she ever find out that darkness that haunts her everyday or will she give in and let it take over her very soul. Susie loves life and enjoys what it has to offer even though she wants more. She has wonderful trustworthy friends who would stand by her no matter what, but, there is still that deep dark secret that even they are left in the dark. Could this secret have a past that is so painful that even the conscious mind blocks or is it the secret from someone from her past. Susie searches for answers and keeps running into walls until she meets someone from her past who might be the one to help open that dark box. Of course, one might ask or even say should I enter the darkness that haunts me or should I pretend that it doesn’t exist. Reading this book may help some wonder why certain things happen or what maybe causing that dark secret to creep to the surface? However, life to me is like a “Jack in the Box” one may never know once the box is open whether you will laugh or cry from shock. Let’s hope Susie will laugh instead of shedding tears in that very moment that may destroy her life forever!!!
