About the Book
This book was written to gain the attention of young readers on the elementary level. After reading TWO-SHOE, these young readers will be able to explore and understand the use of figurative language. (metaphor, idiom, simile, hyperbole, and onomatopoeia) Such figurative language is used in this book to increase student's vocabulary. They will be able to read how figurative language is used in everyday conversations without the awareness of using such language. Students will also be able to read and see how figurative language is being used in fiction writing.
About the Author
Dr. Ruby Ponder is an educator and has been in the education field for 34 years. Dr. Ponder received an Associate Degree from Middle Georgia College in the area of Elementary Education, Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education from Albany State University, Masters Degree from Albany State University in Special Education, Specialist Degree from Troy State University in Administration and Supervision, and a Doctorate Degree from Fielding Graduate University in Educational Leadership and Change. Ruby was reared by her grandparents in a small town called Hawkinsville, Georgia. Her grandparents were her role models, mentors, and heroes. They taught her to use her imagination, and believe that she can do anything that her mind directs. She was also taught by her grandparents to always thank God and appreciate Him for everything, the good and the bad in life and to always put Him first in everything. It is from God who gives strength and from Him that all blessings flow.
