About the Book
After several major earthquakes, a rift in the Veil between the human world, and the world of the creatures of myth was formed. This rift has become more stable, allowing it to remain open entirely. The creatures of the Veil are known as Veilkin in general. The rift is still new enough for Veilkin to need a ”host” to help them survive outside the Veil. This is called a Master/Slave bond. The bond works like so: The human ”host” gives their Veilkin their life energy, also known as their soul, in return for extended life. A human that is bonded with a Veilkin cannot die, by any means, unless the Veilkin they are bound to dies. Follow 2nd generation Psychic, Raya Misten, as she is swept away into the world of a Veilkin blue blood, Prince Raven. Cain, Raven's older brother, seems to have become obsessed with Raya. Can she survive in this new world she's been thrown into?
About the Author
Ren Elmore is a 25 year old stay at home mom of a rambunctious 2 year old with an over-active imagination. She spends her free time, when the toddler isn't awake, thinking up new story ideas, playing video games, reading, or playing Dungeons and Dragons. She has a rather plump cat, named Verona, who also happens to demand most of her attention, regardless of whether or not she's busy. When Ren decides to write, she always thinks to herself “What would I want to read?”. Being a fan almost any genre, this one thought tends to inspire a spiral of different world and story scenarios. With each book she writes, she hopes to bring you a new world to discover and enjoy, new people to fall in love with and to hate.
