About the Book

In his reflection back over the years of his marriage, a man discovers the inner beauty of the woman who shared his life for over fifty years. Retracing the steps taken on a path which carried him and his wife through high school, military service, Pacific crossings, higher education, raising a family and into the final stages of life, the man realizes that skin-surface beauty is not the only thing which captures a man’s heart and holds it in a gentle firmness over the years. A woman’s self-effacing support and steadfast strength inspires her husband to capture her essence in a poetic-like prose…during what could be the final hours of his life.

About the Author

Allen R. Remaley has several hobbies among which are playing pickle ball, picking out a few tunes on his banjo and scribbling down his thoughts from time to time. This latter activity has produced seven books and numerous professional articles which dealt with his life, imagination and foreign language teaching career. Although not a ‘real author’, the enjoyment of putting pen on paper has allowed him to leave a record of one who would have loved to have attained loftier levels of literary recognition. He is a former United States Marine, holds a doctorate in French, and loves the Stars and Stripes he proudly served. He shares his hobbies with his wife of many years and he lives in Saratoga Springs, NY and Scottsdale, AZ.
