About the Author

Dana is a mentor, friend, uncle, brother, son, husband and father of two boys. He has coached both youth soccer and baseball and has been a mentor to many children and young adults. He volunteers by reading to little children and looks forward to sharing this story with them.

The story of Squirrelly was birthed on a walk with his boys along Chicago’s lakefront where he and his sons would feed the squirrels. One day, Dana noticed a haggard looking squirrel and wondered if squirrels have the same hang ups that humans do when it comes to appearance.
