Fishing Close to the Bank is more than a guide to fi shing spots. The stories incorporate a little history, some advice and instills the need to enjoy the out-of-doors.
About the Author
Robert (Bob) Cox is a fifth generation Colorado native and grew up in the beautiful San Juan Mountains. He has traveled extensively around Colorado fishing and hunting and recording his excursions via photographs and journals. He has lived in Montrose, Colorado since 1980. After over 20 years as a law enforcement officer, Cox ended up taking the reins as editor and publisher of the Mountain Valley News, a small newspaper headquartered in Cedaredge, Colorado. In that capacity, he wrote an outdoor column, The Sportsman's Corner, every week for more than nine years. The column received numerous awards from the Colorado Press Association.
