“Does it want to eat us?” Brandy asked, her voice trembling in fear, yet unable to tear her gaze from the dragon’s probing eyes. Draco chuckled deeply at her question. “I wasn’t trying to make a joke,” she hissed, momentarily taking her eyes off of the dragon and shooting a glare at the elder elf. “I am sorry, child,” he apologized. “The dragon is only curious about you and Steve. I would venture to guess that it has never before seen a human in this realm.” “Oh,” Brandy muttered somewhat taken aback. The last thing she figured from this giant was that it would be curious about her. She only pictured herself as a very small snack for the beast. “Well we’ve never seen a dragon before either,” Steve began with a grin and a wink at Brandy. “Not in this realm or any other for that matter. This guy definitely has an advantage over us. It is slightly bigger than we are.” The dragon turned its large knowing eyes to Draco and tilted it’s long snout in his direction. Draco looked intently at the giant as if he were listening to a conversation. “What’s he doing?” Brandy whispered loudly to her companions. “The dragon was telling me that it has no intention of eating us, if that is what you are afraid of,”

About the Book
Best friends, Brandy Well and Steve Rixx, accidentally cross the almost invisible barrier that separates the human world and the elfin realm, known as The Elfin Barrier. What then ensues is the adventure of a life time for the two. They stumble upon a battle of power between a group of elves and a horde of creatures known as gobioids. The pair team up with the elves and meet Forrest, a brooding elf who doesn’t trust humans, and Carina, the gentle and beautiful princess of her clan. Before they know it, Brandy and Steve are caught up in the fight of Good versus Evil that takes you on a journey to save the home of the elves in a tale filled with excitement, danger, friendship, a few dragons and a battle that will take your breath away.

Patricia Gagnon Bennett has always been an avid reader of fantasy and fairy tales. As she got older, she just started writing her own works of wonder and delight. The winner of may regional writing competitions, and former publisher of a fantasy magazine, she enjoys the fun of creating new stories and characters to share with her family and friends. Patricia lives in Live Oak, Florida with her soul mate husband, Daniel and three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. She love to write, read, go to the beach, being outside exploring, and spending time with her son, Harvey, daughter-in-law, Allysen, and new grand daughter, Sabrina.
