I hit the brakes and slid to a stop on the side of the road. My hands were shaking and tears filled my eyes to the point where I couldn’t see. I sat there sobbing loudly into my hands when the engine died. Oh great, what’s going to happen next? I asked angrily in my head then opened the door. I looked but couldn’t see any headlights anywhere.
After I popped the hood I walked to the front of the car. I was bent over trying to see what was wrong with the motor and I didn’t see Emerson pull up behind the car.
“Ayden...look out!” I heard his voice shout out with horror filling it and I turned to see a truck sliding out of control towards the car...

About the Book
A young girl looses her dad to soon in life. With his death she is forced to face life and all it's challenges all on her own. She feels lost as she travels around and deals with the death of a man who meant so much to her. She Finally settles down in Ucuelet, British Columbia where she meets a young man. Emerson who reminds her of her father by the way he acts and talks. She finds herself falling for him but tries so hard to keep her distance building a wall to protect herself from getting to close to him.
About the Author
Chrystal originally hails From Wainwright Alberta. As a single mother of two, her hobbies include dirt biking and reading.
This is Chrystal’s first full length novel and she hopes to continue her passion for writing.
