Today in a hurting world represents a pivotal time in history when statistics depicts that there are countless millions of people who suffer in diverse ways. The Holy Bible clearly outlines human suffering. For instance, in St. Matthew chapter 24:1-51 this book outlays diverse human suffering through eschatology (end-time) events. During Jesus’ earthly ministry, He taught His disciples what the world would experience during the end-time. Look at conditions the world over. Daily there are vast numbers of human beings suffering. Global levels of pain, suffering, and pressure are enormous. Numerous examples of global pains, sufferings, and pressures are delved into. For instance, there are billions of people who suffer from poverty, starvation, famine, plagues, leprosy, disparities, homelessness and the more. The author, a psychiatric/mental health clinician, has a passion and commission to the health and wellness ministry that has a wholistic approach in healing the body, mind, and spirit. Her purpose for writing this book is to focus primarily on damaged emotions, psychological, and mental sufferings caused by pain, pressures, sufferings, and distresses―as well as enhancing others who have a call to the ministry of Christian counseling. Engrafted in this book is a highly inspirational memoir sharing candid personal details of the author’s life relevant to deep emotional, psychological, and mental sufferings that challenged her own health and wellness. The author will use integration of Biblical principles, godly application, through navigation of the “Word of God,” that will enlighten and impact your thought processes. About the Author
Melveena D. Edwards, PhD (Overseer) is the founder, president, CEO, and entrepreneur of the Lighthouse Christian Counseling and Outreach Center, Inc.—LCCOC, Consultants for Christian Education Programs—CCEP, Lighthouse Academy for Christian Counseling and Seminary, LLC (CA)—LACC, and Melveena D. Edwards •T.O.P.-The Olive Press Ministries, LLC. Her ministry transcends her own imagination. She is an ordained clergywoman, an N.C.C.A. Licensed Clinical Christian Counselor-Advanced Certified/N.C.C.A. Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor-Advanced Certified, S.A.C.C. International Representative, and professor of theological studies. Her ministry is primarily geared toward hurting people, healing and deliverance, the wholistic approach to health and wellness (mind/body/soul) or the Faith Community Nursing (FCN) practice, and equipping other clergy for successful ministries. Melveena holds 11 earned degrees (two in the science in nursing and nine in seminary/theological studies) —Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (RN/BSN) from the University of Phoenix. She is a psychiatric/mental health nurse (PMHN). She has been a nurse for 38 years. She has 17 years of seminary, and theological studies. The highest degree(s) earned: PhD in Administration and Organization from the Apostolic University of Grace and Truth of Richmond, IN; 2nd PhD in Clinical Christian Psychology from Cornerstone University of Lake Charles, LA. Dr. Edwards is grateful to God for the opportunity and platform to share her story of pain, pressures, sufferings, and distresses. She proclaims that God has raised her to “Life on T.O.P. and nothing can S.T.O.P.” (success, triumph, opportunities, power) after “The Olive Press”— to a renewed supernatural spiritual level in God, and to a “successful ministry” in empowering His people through: authorship, public speaking, Faith Community Nursing (FCN), Clinical Christian/Pastoral Counseling, and Christian Education ministries. She currently resides in Galena, Ohio. She is a proud mother, grandmother, has a host of beloved family members, and friends.
