About the Book
Victory through Faith, Friends and Determination is an account of the treatment to which some workers are unfortunately subjected. It tells of one nurse’s unfortunate experience and how her faith in God, encouragement from friends and a determination to be a person of excellence kept her on the right track and sane during a very, very difficult period of her work life. It is the author’s hope that this book and her experiences will be a source of inspiration to those in similar situations and an impetus for higher management to work towards ending such unacceptable behaviours and creating more harmonious workplaces and happier employees.

Noah Lee was born in Jamaica 57 years ago, the second eldest of eight children. She was born and raised along with her seven siblings in the parish of St. James, just two miles from the parish capital of Montego Bay. Noah is the proud mother of an 18-year-old son and a practising Seventh-day Adventist with residence in Toronto, Ontario. Her extended family includes 23 nieces and nephews and six great nieces and nephews. She loves to read just about anything that deals with relationships and enjoys hearing people speak about their children. She also loves interacting with youth. Her friends know her as a good listener with an excellent sense of humour. She has been labelled a natural comedienne – some even referring to her as “Carol Burnett.” In her more than 30 years’ experience as an RN, she has had the privilege of working in a number of disciplines and has experienced a variety of different work-related cultures. Her favourite disciplines are cardio-vascular and general surgical nursing.
