Elevating Purpose is a compilation of poetry that speaks volumes of truth. This book deals with unresolved issues—fear, lack, etc.—that occur daily, blinding the essence of our true nature. This book is a reflection of LaDonna’s journey, seeking truth and freedom. The seed of faith has blossomed, elevating purpose.
About the Author
LaDonna McLemore was born on February 22, 1976, as a twin, to Dianne and Jerry Booker in Inkster, Michigan. By the time LaDonna was six, her environment was filled with several forms of abuse and aggressive violence. Chaos and rejection caused her to have no self-worth, and at nineteen she was a broken mother of two beautiful children. LaDonna found herself in an abusive relationship for several years, not knowing what real love was.
Life would continue beating her down, and she started seeking God for help. In 1998, LaDonna accepted Jesus Christ as her savior. She attended Eagle’s Way Full Gospel Ministries.
Poetry is LaDonna; she discovered her talents through adversities of life.
LaDonna received her GED and studied at Wayne County Community College, also gaining other trades. She’s perusing her dreams as an entrepreneur. LaDonna is married to Harold McLemore. They reside in Detroit, Michigan, with their three smaller children. The journey of LaDonna has healed and strengthen her mentally. Her motto has been “Giving up is not an option.”
