In his 17th chapter John describes a third entity, not a beast, but an old whore. She has been in business since the days of ancient Babylon. Drunk on the blood of Christians, she rides the first Beast, and she fornicates with the politicians that rule the world. Because of the pleasures she affords them and the wine with which she drugs them, they do her bidding rather than carry out the will of the people who elected them.
John saw this wicked woman’s name written on her forehead. It is “Babylon the Great” and her god is Lucifer, the devil-king who was master of the ancient Babylonian Empire of gold (Isaiah 14:4-12 KJV).
That whore, Babylon the Great, embodies the super-rich of the world, the “one percent” that possesses and/or controls nearly all the wealth. Like a “city without borders” populated by the wealthiest individuals and corporations the world has ever known, she has no allegiance to any national government or religious empire. She is above all human rule. With her wealth, she exerts tremendous influence upon all governments.
It is with good reason then that the Beast is seen by John as eventually turning against that great big whore and stripping her naked and eating her flesh and burning her with fire. But first that wicked woman must fall from her position of power atop the Beast. And soon she shall, when the Babylonian system of international banking and finance collapses.
Too many nations are now burdened with too much debt to the tune of multiple trillions of dollars on which they will never pay even the interest. Like a house of cards or a design of dominoes, it will all come crashing down with one flick of a finger; and Babylon the Great will fall. That fall was graphically portrayed for all the world to see on September 11, 2001, when her world-renowned symbol of finance and trade collapsed in smoke and ashes in one hour of being hit by passenger planes. See Revelation 18.
Yet that wicked woman still thinks she is sitting as a queen who can never be touched by harmful hands. But having been judged by God, she will soon topple to the ground like her twin towers, like the drunken whore that she really is, easy prey for the flash mobs of the “Occupy Wall Street” ilk.

This book is based entirely on the Holy Bible and is not a study of Islamic teaching. However, the above quotation seems timely and is not far from what the Bible itself says.
This book’s title has two words unfamiliar to many: Realizationist and Eschatology. The latter is derived from two Greek words, eschatos meaning last things; and logos meaning word, concept, or understanding. So, eschatology is the understanding of last things; the study of endtimes prophecies found in the Bible.
A Realizationist approaches such a study with a divine assurance that those prophecies were written for the times in which we live, a realization that the “last days” are unfolding right now in our own generation.
This unique understanding began to be revealed to only a few some 45 years ago. It is now being made available to all who dare to preview the realities of the next few years.

Philip Mark Ames was instrumental in developing realizationism in the last quarter of the twentieth century. From 1975 till now, he has authored four books and several study courses based on the Bible and has taught in the classroom, from the pulpit, and on the radio.
