About the Book

Now back with his fourth manuscript, Pastor William Bennett takes a much different approach in From the Desk of Pastor William. In this book, Pastor William is open and transparent about his calling, assignment, and mission in life. Through this book, the reader will be able to experience his journey as a shepherd while also viewing struggles that come with the task. This book allows you to see Pastor William from all angles of life-his love for the church, his family, Jesus, and his view of legacy. Don’t get it wrong, Pastor William couldn’t write a book without motivating, inspiring, and giving insight to his readers. From the Desk of Pastor William is full of nuggets about moving forward, getting through hurts, and living with purpose. Perhaps his most personal writing thus far, Pastor William deals with a very difficult place in his life in the chapter titled “The Night My Father Died.” It is a must read. This book will empower, inform, and possibly make you cry, but it definitely needs to go in your collection.

About the Author

William A. Bennett was born in 1981 and raised in Bloomington, Illinois. William is the second son, born to a preacher, who would grow up and follow in his father and mother’s footsteps. William graduated from Illinois State University with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and, following that, married Charlatta Riggs. William and Charlatta have two beautiful girls, Heaven and Braylee Bennett. In 2007, William became senior pastor at City of Refuge Ministries, where he shepherds with the heart of God. Pastor Bennett has a heart of love and compassion for people, which is seen through his many acts of giving. Pastor Bennett carries a great burden to help release the hurting into healing, the broken into wholeness, and the failing into success. This burden is seen in his preaching, teaching, and unique writing style. He has authored three dynamic books: Winners Play with Pain, The Struggle with Struggle, and The Better Life Now. All of these manuscripts encourage the readers to pursue Christ and all the success that comes along with it. The books are also motivation to not tolerate failure, to never quit, and to achieve success at a high level.
