About the Book

This is a book of poems about our relationship to our environment and other lives that share our earthly home-from the forest, to the sea, to the desert. These are poems of understanding who we are, why we are here, and where we are going.

About the Author

I grew up in Ogden, Utah, in a faithful Mormon home. As a child, I was an avaricious reader, enjoying lazy summer hours at the local library. I graduated from Utah State University and taught elementary school in Utah for twenty-six years. After retirement, I began writing. I have published over twenty stories in children’s magazines and many poems nationwide. My first children’s book, Puff’s Christmas Wish, was published by Covenant Communications in 1996. I published two picture books with Addison Wesley for Waterford Schools’ early reader program. I wrote eight picture books for readinga-z.com. I have won many local and national awards for poetry and prose. I have been president of the League of Utah Writers, Utah State Poetry Society, and the Utah Association of American Penwomen, as well as serving many positions in my church. I currently live in West Bountiful, Utah, and enjoy frequent visits from my five children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
