She was forty years old but there was a distinct difference between her and other women: other women were forty, but Simone was sexy and forty. When she spelled the word “sexy,” she spelled it as it referred to herself – with three Xs. She was sexy and she knew it. Her students reminded her every day – male and female students. She liked to keep up with the latest fashions without crossing into teeny-bopper style. She would only buy grown-people clothes and she would only shop at grown-people stores. Simone absolutely adored a nice pair of heels. She had heels in all colors. Her closet was like stepping inside of a shoe store. After she got out of the tub and dried off, she grabbed her Mickey Mouse T-shirt and her matching pajama pants and walked to the closet so that she could pick the shoes she would wear the next day. She couldn’t wear just anything, because she liked to make heads turn when walked in the room. Attention was like a drug to her. She had to have it. She was vaguely jealous and couldn’t stand competition. She would walk through the hallways at the university and watch the young men as they would stare. Simone would hide her smile. She liked it but she couldn’t let on. Still, she knew what they said about her. She knew what they thought of her. She knew that males on the campus were attracted to her, and liked her long legs. They wanted to ask her out – some of them would, but of course, it was unethical to date a student. She would let them know that she was flattered and she appreciated the interest but she would remind them of her position and re-establish the professor-student line. These pink ones will get them. Yep, and I think I will wear this pink and white dress. I am such a lady, Simone thought. She looked at the shoes and thought about the things people would say about her. She was that mom that every man wanted to have sex with. She would keep them wanting because she required a lot. Most men knew this. They would call her high maintenance but the truth was, she just had high standards. Others would call her a dick-teaser but she knew that she was nothing of the sort. She just liked attention. If she involved herself in a relationship it would be meaningful and the man would be tasked with lots of demands. She would, of course, be willing to accommodate him as well. She put the pink heels back in their respective box, and smiled when thought about the fact that she was told some of the men at her job pleasured themselves to her. There was nothing wrong with it. Everybody had to have a dream and if she were in their dreams, then it meant something to Simone. It meant that she was unique, and she liked that. She left the walk-in closet and sat at her desk to check her Facebook account. Some of her co-workers were Facebook junkies, but not Simone. She liked what it stood for, but she liked her privacy. She could never get with the idea of constantly posting her intentions and feelings every couple of hours as many people did. She did not like for people to see personal photos of her family. Simone had a couple of pictures of her, some clean, others revealing just enough to spark the imagination, but she would not post pictures of her house, personal effects or her family. She had seen dozens of cases where people were abducted due to the available information on the web. Simone took another sip of wine as the rain beat the windows like a drum. It was music to her ears. She smiled when she saw that one of her childhood friends had sent her a personal message. It was Sharon from Lincoln Heights. They went to school together and they were on the cheerleading team in middle school. They had been pretty close until Sharon joined the military. Now, Sharon had one more year before she would be eligible for retirement. Simone eagerly responded to the email. Just as she pressed send, the instant messenger box popped up. It was from Houston. Houston was from Jersey and he was a bartender. He didn’t make much money, but it wasn’t about money for Simone. She made lots of money and enjoyed the financial independence which made relationships easier for her. She could concentrate on the person and their qualities. She never had to worry about money. Some people married for money, but Simone vowed to never marry for money. She never wanted to depend on anyone to finance her lifestyle, which is why she’d made sure to get a good job so that she could be financially sound. Simone had met Houston at a club on a Saturday. It had been girls’ night out and most of the ladies from the job were going to be there. She’d decided to go just for laughs. They had drinks after drinks. When they finished one drink, someone else volunteered to buy the next round, but when Simone went to the bar to order a round, Houston told Simone that she didn’t have to pay; it would be on him. She smiled as she returned to the table. Her girlfriends didn’t miss a beat. They teased Simone about the way she and the bartender looked at each other. They noticed the playful way the two flirted with each other. Simone wanted the young bartender too. He looked like he was packing and could bring some good sex to the table. She entertained the idea of having her way with him, having him in her bed, and became moist instantly. She wanted him. She didn’t want a relationship, she just wanted someone to hit it real good and Simone had made up her mind. She would get his number and she would have sex with him.
