So another Sunday rolls around and before I would go and get my praise on, I said to myself “I need to satisfy this crave in my flesh.” I thought either way both events would have me lifting my hands to surrender. Jack was drinking a cold glass of apple juice and he slipped a piece of ice in his mouth. He turned over and eased his way to me. Before even touching me, I could feel the coolness of his breath breathing on my neck. My body responded with anticipation of his next move. My body perked up. From my head to my feet, not missing any part, there was a throbbing symphony of feelings. He caressed my body with the piece of ice sending chilling feelings of pleasure throughout. I submissively gave into the touch. I wanted him to explore every part of my caramel coated skin. As the ice melted he continued to explore each curve bringing pure ecstasy where I could not contain my silence any longer. Any craving and desire I had was being met and exceeded anything I could have ever imagined. The flood gates of statisfation bursted open and overflowed. Then he knew I was ready to receive him and cause us to becoming one. I no longer thirst, I was satisfied and rehydrated. I purred softly with each stroke, grabbing his back to pull him closer and deeper. Then without warning, I sank my nails in deeper and I let out an ultimate sound of climaxing pleasure. Then without warning, I coldly disconnected myself as if I had no emotions at all, slid out from under him and made my way to the shower. How could I be so cold as if the moments that just took place were something of someone’s imagination?

Regina Star is a God-fearing Christian that just got caught up in a lifetime of hurts because of her twisted view of love—from man to man and from bed to bed. She was never content, always revisiting hurts and becoming more and more damaged. Her view on life was becoming darker, more and more cloudy. As you turn the pages and listen to her tell her life story, you can’t help but feel the pain of emptiness she must have felt day in and day out. Is there hope past the bed covers for Regina? Don’t judge, but try to understand. Try to see Regina’s choices from the point of view of a woman that has only known love as a touch in all the wrong places even as a little girl growing up. Try to see from the perspective of every time a man tells her he loves her, it’s only because he wants to get her in bed. Actually, when real love did try to show up (from her husband), she was so damaged she didn’t recognize it and feared it and, therefore, fought and rejected it. Try to imagine never receiving anything positive being poured into your life, and that you have never received a safe and loving hug. She became so withdrawn that her view on sex was not like that of the average woman. She loved the fantasy (the very thought) of sex, but once she allowed you to taste of her sweet nectar, she no longer wanted anything to do with you. My friends, don’t judge Regina. Just take the journey, and look into her heart. Then if you see Regina or anyone that looks like Regina, have compassion on her. Although this book may have been found on the shelf with the fictional books, Regina’s story is very real! This book is for adults only. It is not intended for anyone under the age of eighteen.

Queen E. Lacey was born and raised in White Plains, New York. She moved to Phoenix, Arizona, in 2001. So many wonderful things started for Queen in Arizona, including her releasing her passion for writing. Her writings are always poems to encourage the reader of the positive things in life.
