Sound Bible Doctrine for the Servants of Lord Jesus Christ!

Does God choose believers or do believers choose God? According to the Bible, because of the total depravity of mankind, God has to choose us (mankind), we cannot choose God, nor do we desire to have a relationship with God. The Bible says, “Jeremiah 17:9 [KJV] 9The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” John 3:19 [KJV] 19And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. Apart from God or separated from God, the Bible describes mankind as being totally corrupt, wicked, ungodly, evil, and deceitful. Genesis 6:4 - 7 [KJV] 4There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7And the LORD said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. Genesis 8:20 - 22 [KJV] 20And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. 21And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. 22While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. There are many people in the World today that believe that mankind is basically good, but circumstances cause a good person to become bad. Lord Jesus Christ says that no one is good, except God! Matthew 19:16 - 17 [KJV] 16And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. Apart from God or separated from God mankind cannot keep the Ten Commandments because the commandments are perfect and we (mankind) are imperfect.
