All of these places are part of New York’s baseball experience. Join the authors’ passion for our national past time -- in every region of the Empire State.

About the Author

The authors of this book both grew up in a Long Island village just outside of New York City: Rockville Centre - - one in the 1960’s and the other in the 1980’s. The authors both played for Rockville Centre Little League and Babe Ruth League, as well as for Saint Agnes Cathedral High School. Both moved to Western New York later on and met through a mutual close friend in law enforcement, Douglas Knorr. But their common home town is not their only bond. The other is baseball. Bernard G. Walsh is a former professor of criminal justice studies at Hilbert College, a retired FBI agent and veteran of the Vietnam War. Bernie is also the Director of Media Relations and Communications for the Geneva Redwings, a NYS Collegiate Baseball League team. He is a former coach and broadcaster for the Hilbert College baseball team in Hamburg. Bernie has also been a broadcaster for Jamestown Jammers games (of the New York Penn league). He has four children and three grandchildren. Timothy Patrick Murphy is an appellate attorney, residing in Niagara County, New York. He and his wife, Celine, have two children, Nolan and Maeve. He coached his son’s baseball teams in Pendleton until his son turned nine. They still regularly attend games together in Buffalo, Rochester and Toronto.
