The Baby Whale and the Surfer

Far, far away there is a tiny islands named Curaçao. Its blu color is a distinctive feature of Playa Kanoa bay. During the cold winters, dolphins, whales and all kind of fishes passed by the islands with their young families. Whales, are great travelers and know all the seas of the world. But Curaçao was the preferred destination of the whale-tailed, who loved to hunt the glittering Playa Kanoa fishes. Besides, that place was the only spot where the new born could play with the waves coming fast, forming small ridges and clashing on the reef. A small whale surfed to far from his mother and remained prisoner in the shallow waters of the Playa Kanoa bay. The poor could not move and the waves slammed him over the rocks of the barrier, cutting his skin. A sharp edge pierced his eardrum damaging severely his hearing. Once inside the calm water the whale was confused and shocked. The world seemed different and so silent. He was deaf! Meanwhile the family of the baby whale was continuing its journey and the mother asked every fish she met if by chance they had seen her little boy. One day, as she was swimming in one of the beautiful bays of Peru, she saw a large group of surfers who played racing the waves with dolphins and she remembered how much her little enjoyed the same game.
