About the Book

She will take you on a trip from growing up during the Great Depression, through her life, love, loss, and how life was in the ’40s, ’50s, and up to the present. You will be surprised at what an eighty-eight-year-old is willing to share: her grand exit on the deck of the USS Missouri Battleship, like where do babies come from, to preparing Thanksgiving (unprepared) dinner, having to say good-bye to her first love. Be prepared to laugh, cry, and give a big sigh wishing for more.

About the Author

She was born in Beverly, Massachusetts, in 1926, the youngest of five children. As this was during the Great Depression, money was scarce; you learned to live with it. She graduated in 1944, during the Second World War, and straight from high school to work. In her book, she tells of these jobs; if jobs can be called funny, she makes it so. If life during the ’40s can be memorable, she has done a great job to entertain you. Loves were few, but each was full of meaning. Her children are her pride and joy, and both are retired. You are never too old to seek new love (on the Internet). She is now called "Senior Cougar" by her friends. She lives life to be enjoyed and shared it with her second love via the Internet.
