About the Author

His students call him Mr. Chip. He has taught in the inner city of Memphis for over fifteen years. Mr. Chip has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. However, Mr. Chip will be the first person to tell you that teaching is not about degrees. Teaching is a learning experience between the teacher and the students. If the teacher is not learning, then the students are not learning. Mr. Chip’s specialty is working with inner-city boys who do not like to read. Reading is the foundation of all knowledge, and Mr. Chip has made it his mission to develop a book style and story line that will make it fun for nonreaders to read. Once reading becomes fun, the boy becomes a reader!
