Quite often, we are frustrated when people don’t get us, especially when we are teenagers. The poems in this book serve as a patting hand reassuring those of you who seem out of place. This book is dedicated to teenagers who want their inexplicable feelings to be known. Each poem in this book is a miracle performed by a teenager who’s loved, lost, and most importantly, lived.

About the Author

The Poetic Pariahs is a group of ten teenage poets hailing from the United Arab Emirates. Together they bring their own versatile tastes, emotions, experiences, and styles to their writing. The poets involved in this book aren’t most striking for their literary merit but rather for how relatable they make their poems. They shed light on what the current generation of teenagers goes through—a curry of romance, insecurity, pressure, ambitions, and so on.
