My Quest to Understand and Help the Homeless, Stranded and Down and Out

What I have discovered while gaining understanding of the situation relating to the homeless, stranded and down & out is that the problem is similar to the Millipede in its makeup and progress. Similar to the Millipede, the fight to assist and help the homeless has multiple parts as the millipede has multiple segments, they are also interconnected. As I discussed n earlier chapters, there are several major fronts/groups or bodies that are interconnected in helping the homeless. Those major groups consists of the government (federal, state and local); the church/religion (Christianity Judaism, Islam, etc.) social and civic organization; philanthropists and foundations. Each of the above groups actually has compartments/department that help focus on different areas as it relates to homelessness. What makes the Millipede move is its many legs (although not at thousand, it is considered to have the most logs of any insect or creature of its type)which is similar to the million of countless people who work in/with government, church/religion, social and civic organizations and foundations ,

About the Book
Government, civic organizations, and religion (the church) all play a major part in finding ways to help the plight of the homeless. This is displayed on a daily basis by so many who are constantly doing their part through service, financial giving, and voluntary work. However, the challenge still remains. Like the millipede with many body parts/compartments (government, civic, church, volunteers) and many legs (the people driving the groups), there is much misinformation about what is going and even greater fear about problems. We take a look at the successes and challenges that this age-old problem of finding ways to help the homeless, stranded, and down-and-out.
