In the Introduction of the poems, the issues covered are the roaring sound of a toilet flush, Shadows in a closet, visits to the doctor for a shot, sounds on a window during the night, the daarkness under a bed, barking dogs, meowing cats, draining of bath water, new tooth coming in, getting a bump with a band aide, ticklers from the grass, birds calling out from a tree, thunder storms with rain, spiders in their webs, the noise of a garbage disposa., cookies that disappear too quickly, or a strange bug.

About the Book
Often children are afraid of the noises they hear or the imagined objects that surround their world. When they can learn to laugh at these fears, they can cope with their issues easier.
About the Author
Dr. Johnson wrote and drew all the poems dealing with childhood fears when she was with her two grandchildren, Austin and Brooke Short, talking about what made them afraid. She read the poems to them as they painted a picture to go with each poem. This made their issues go away while they laughed at the drawings which they created together.
