About the Author

“Saramah was born in April 2005. She grew up in Calgary City, Canada. She started her elementary school in Canada and completed up to third grade. After that, she moved with her family to Texas, USA, and she resumed from fourth grade and continued. She won numerous academic awards, like Principal’s Award, Excellency Award, and also was in honor rolls. “Saramah finished this story as a fifth grader. She just turned to a sixth grader last week. Her first attempt to put together some words and making full sentences happened to be when she was a kindergarten student. One day during an instant writing lesson, she was able to write a page-long story where she tried to share her feelings about one of our family trips. “The KG teacher showed us that story when we had a parent-teacher meeting some days later and asked, ‘Did you teach her anything about this story?’ We replied, ‘No.’ That was the moment when we comprehended how much she loved to write. “Since then, she has been encouraged by all of her class teachers of different grades in different schools that she attended so far. One of her recent notable achievements occurred last year. She participated in the Writing Contest organized by the PSIA (Private Schools Interscholastic Association) and earned a place for her school. “Now, Saramah lives in Texas with her parents and only younger sister” (from the parents’ note, 8/28/16).
