About the Book

Spiritual Highlights-Book 3 was written to remind us that although we may have encountered some horrific obstacles in our lives, our God is still able to remove those blockades. There is nothing too big, too small, nor too complicated for our God. Matthew 19:26 reminds us, “With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible”. Book 3 will be your guide to helping you, through God’s words, to overcome and handle the impossible.

About the Author

Diane Rainey Colbert was born in Sarasota, Florida to the late Irene Rainey and Henry Malone. As a young child, she attended church but was not a member. At the age of 10, she moved to New York with her mother and siblings. At the age of 15, she gave birth to her son Tori Finley. Life as a young mother was not always easy, but she did not let that deter her from pursuing her dreams. She began to experiment with drugs while in high school; in spite of that, she knew that she wanted to further her education. In 1980, she graduated from Nassau Community College in Garden City, NY with an AS Degree in Liberal Arts. She continued her education at Adelphi University in that same city and earned her BS degree in Social Welfare in 1983. Sometime later, she moved back to her hometown of Sarasota. In 1992, Diane accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at Victory Christian Family Center where she assisted Pastors Sherman and Mary Owens with the children’s ministry, greeting ministry, intercessory prayer, and the jail house ministry. Doing these highlights was inspired by a radio ministry where she would call in and give a highlight. In 2015, Diane married her second husband, Jimmy Colbert at Greater Hurst Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Sarasota where they are both members. Their pastor, Rev. Keturah D. Pittman, is an inspiration to both of them Jimmy is the minister of music and the church school’s superintendent. Diane assists in various ministries in the church. It seemed her ministry with children had come full circle, for she is now one the church school teachers and co-leader of a girl scout troop which meets at their church. Diane is the Director of Social Services at Genesis healthcare at Springwood center and in 2015, she celebrated her 13th year in that position. She leads the devotional services for the residents of Springwood and plays a major role in soliciting entertainers for the resident’s Christmas party. Diane gets great pleasure from writing about the power of God. She has now authored three books in this series.
