“Nnneerrrooomm!” “Now level it out!” the co-pilot shouted. “We are clear!” “Wow! It’s amazing up here!” Bunky shouted as he was looking down at the tree covered earth. “Reading will make it fly. Letter by letter we will take it across the sky!” said the co-pilot. “We will be in New York by evening. Fly through the letters, for reading is like dreaming.” Bunky closed the book. “I want to check this book out!” said Bunky. “I learned how a pilot flies high in the sky!” “Wonderful!” said Grandma Mary, taking the book. “Go look and see if you can find another one you like. Books take us to places where we have never been.”

About the Author
Michael Smither was born and raised in the small town of Danville, Indiana. After graduating high school, he discovered his love for working with children. He is currently in his seventh year working with the special education class in the Danville School Corporation. He is the author of Backward Zoo. His passion for children is what inspires him to write childrens' books.
