About the Author
After active duty in the Air Force and graduate studies at Baylor University and the University of California at Los Angeles, James Haydock earned a Ph.D. in English language and literature at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. In the years that followed he researched, wrote about, and taught every aspect of Victorian literature. While teaching the novel year after year, he began to write historical novels of his own. Now retired, he lives with his wife in Wisconsin.
