Bibi picked me up the next day after dance tryouts and we hurried to my granddaddy and granny’s for PawPaw’s funeral. On the way there, my Bibi got a call and handed me the cell phone. I found out that I made the dance team at school. We were all so happy but then I thought about my PawPaw and got really, really sad. He would have been so happy for me!

One day we will lose someone we love. We will be sad but there is a way to turn our tears into joy. It is not easy losing our loved ones but we can see our way through. I hope this book helps someone as they go through the pain of losing a loved one because we all will have to face this at some time in our lives. It is okay to be sad and shed tears but happy memories will always shine through the rainbow!

Savannah loves school and is active in school and her church. She loves singing, dancing and sports. Savannah wants to be a teacher and help as many people as she can. She wants people to feel loved and cared for and know that there can be joy in the tears of a rainbow.
