As an educator, quite often parents would ask me for advice. During a conference a parent of a student with serious behavior problems asked me for advice, concerning her child's behavior. I suggested that she spend more time with him, and engage in fun activities with her child. The parents' response was that she could not possibly do what I suggested for very selfish reasons, which I will not mention. She did candidly reply, "After all, I am entitled to have a life too". The parents response did not surprise me. I had heard it before many times and will most likely hear it again. That incident did cause me to reflect on the paradigm shift in parenting styles and how some children's lives are affected by the changes.

Readers will peruse parts of my life which emphasizes episodes that had significance to my pass generation and this generation as well. Life challenges from past generations and also this generation will be discussed. My personal solutions will be discussed and the readers will be challenged to think of their own solutions.

This book emphasizes the importance of parents and grandparents to not only follow their dreams, but to share their dreams with the next generation. You’re never to old to dream. I am a retired Educator and Sunday School Teacher. A graduate of Eastern University Campolo College of Graduate & Professional Studies. Residing in Pennsylvania all of my life. A Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, Aunt, Great-Aunt, and Sister.
