Dear Love

For I know my heart is a blessing. Who am I to question you, God? I know that you have chosen me—you have given me the strength to hold this heart. I know it is not a curse, but sometimes, like tonight, my heart aches a little too much. Sometimes, the pain of having such a heavy heart is too much to handle—my rib cage isn’t strong enough to protect it. So please God, show me how to cope with this heart of mine. Show me how to properly use this heart you have given to me. I pray that you use it for good, and for people deserving. And if you do use it for a soul so broken, I pray that they see your love through me, God. I pray that they find you through my love, God; through this heart of mine that you blessed me with—I pray that they all come to you, God.
