Rocky the Raccoon

About the Book

This book is about a raccoon named Rocky. He challenges his world by stepping outside of his proclaimed box and meets new friends while he explores the world he didn’t know existed. Rocky faces obstacles and everyday challenges, just as we all do in real life, but he climbs over them with kindness and grace. This book has a great moral and teaches kids acceptance of everyone, no matter who they are or where they come from.

About the Author

Tara Wilkinson is a Florida native raised in a daycare her mom and grandma owned on an old rustic farm. She has been a surgical coordinator, office manager, veterinary technician assistant, dispatcher, and freelance poet and didn’t know it. She traveled through Europe once and has survived four atrocious car accidents. She enjoys spending time with her animals and her amazing niece and nephew. Recently, she adopted a raccoon, which inspired her story. Tara is happier than not about the debut of her first children’s book and is excited to write more.
