About the Book

I wrote this book for my daughter Aleya. She’s creative, bubbly, kind, but sometimes loses herself in anxiety. She cares so much about everyone and everything that it’s hard for her to pull back at times. I can’t possibly give her everything in this world, so I created one for her. This book portrays how brave one needs to be when faced with fear and uncertainty.

About the Author

Writing is the gateway to sanity.I grew up surrounded by poverty and drugs. It’s a common story among young African Americans. I found that whether writing music, poetry, or stories, it helped me to cope and keep me on a level playing field. I have been writing for years and have decided to finally start sharing the stories that I have accumulated. So although I don’t have a fancy degree in literature to boast about, life has shown me the way and I look forward to sharing my experiences and the lessons that I’ve learned with all of you.
