About the Book

Julie, a single mother, and her daughter Karen, are trying to move on after the loss of Julie’s soulmate Kmyviks. Kmyviks was an alien who was a criminal on his home planet. He was exiled to Earth for one year until his sentence could be executed. While on Earth he fell in love with Julie and they had an incredible romance. After Kmyviks was taken back to his home planet, Julie discovered she was pregnant with his child. ‘Robert’ is the story of how Julie and Karen struggled to raise a child who was half alien. Robert quickly discovers he is not like the other children and struggles in a world where he is clearly superior. After awhile, Robert senses a connection with his father whom he has never met. Could Kmyviks still be alive?

About the Author

Michael W. Elliott graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Media Communication, with emphasis on print media. He also has a minor in Sociology. It was while attending the university that his writing career officially started by being a staff writer for two different university newspapers. While in college he co-wrote a number of short stories one of which won an award and was published. Mike is a great admirer of Rod Serling. He credits a quote from Mr. Serling as being the major influence in his writing. “I like to take ordinary people and put them in extraordinary situations.” This sums up Mike’s writing philosophy. While the actual ideas for his stories come from a variety of sources, sometimes the simplest places as he claims ‘he just sees things differently’. Mike is always looking for new ideas which he states can come when you least expect them. Mike firmly asserts his characters all come from within his heart claiming there is a lot of himself in each of his characters. Mike describes himself as a hopeless romantic and aspires for these sentiments to come out in his characters. Mike was born in Akron, Ohio and raised in Willoughby, Ohio, before returning to Akron. He now resides in Hershey, Pennsylvania. He has a daughter, Crystal Renee, who is a constant source of inspiration to him. Mike’s passions include music, films, classic television, reading, animals and stamp collecting. Mike is an avid sports fan and while he lives in Pennsylvania he remains a loyal fan to all the Ohio sports teams. Mike has three other books published. “The Spirit of Romance”, “Time to Kill” and “Exiled”. This latest book is a sequel to “Exiled”.
