About the Book

This book is about a three-year-old African American girl expressing how much she loves books. It is also about the endearing nature of her parents, siblings, animals, and skin color. “Halyni Loves Books This Much” tells a story that rhyme, and it strengthen and support memory skills and language development for young children.

About the Author

Shontell S. McQueen is an African American self-published author, substitute teacher, and grant writer. She was born in Newark, New Jersey. She attended Kean University graduating Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. After graduating with her bachelor’s degree, she received her master’s degree of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management from the Nathan Weiss Graduate College at Kean University. In April 2020, Shontell was duly initiated into Pi Alpha Alpha the International Honor Society for Public Affairs and Administration.
