This book is about a young girl that was placed in a caring and supportive foster home. The author wrote this book to help young children like Josie and herself when she was Josie‛s age with transitioning into an unfamiliar home. There are challenges some children will face while in the care of their foster parents. This book includes tips for children to help them during those difficult moments.
About the Author
Hello! My name is Jamillah Smith. I was born and raise in New Jersey. Currently, I live in North Carolina. I have a BA in Education, MA in Superivision and Administration and Doctorate in Educational Leadership. I have been teaching for over 17 years. When I was a young girl, experienced trauma. I felt lonely and abandon while in foster care. I wrote this book to inspire children in the foster care system to trust God and dream big for your future. Continue to go to school and make sure you maintain good behavior. Do not allow your current situation to make you think you can’t overcome feeling abandon and lonely. Have faith and trust God.
