About the Book
This work is a tribute to all the members of the ACCOUNTING PROFESSION in general, and specifically to all the members of the FILIPINO ACCOUNTING PROFESSION in all the sectors: in public practice (ACPAPP); in commerce and industry (ACPACI); in the government (GACPA); and in education (nACPAE), and it is intended to inspire all accounting students, including those in high school and all others who are being introduced to accounting fundamentals. About the Author
DANILO ALANO PRINCIPE, known as Dean Danny to his friends, col-leagues and former students, is a Manila-born and raised Filipino US Cit-izen now residing in Seattle, Washington State. He is an accountant, exec-utive and academician by profession, and was a past national president of the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) in 1999 and the National Association of Certified Public Accountants in Educa-tion (nACPAE) in 1995-96. He has conducted lectures right at the start of the implementation of the requirements for Continuing Professional Edu-cation (CPE) for all CPAs in the Philippines as a prerequisite for renewal of license to the Board of Accountancy at the Professional Regulation Commission. He has been a CPA re-view coach for Theory of Accounts, Auditing Theory and Practice and Management Advisory Services at the National College of Business and Arts, De La Salle CPA Review Classes, CPAR Baguio City and Dagupan City, Casino Review Center and CRC-ACE CPA Review, for which he later facilitated the formation with some of his colleagues and former students. He has conducted seminars and management training sessions with various clients like San Miguel Corporation, GSIS, Pag-Ibig Fund, Development Bank of the Philip-pines, and SM Shoemart. He was formerly the dean of the College of Business Administration of Colegio de San Juan de Letran. He obtained his Master of Business Management at the Asian Institute of Management, Makati, Philippines and was given the AIM Leadership Award that year (1976). He received his Bachelors degree in Business Ad-ministration major in Accounting and Management at the University of the East, Manila. He was awarded Outstanding CPA in Education and Outstanding CPA in Professional Development in 1995 by the Philip-pine Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He now enjoys the privilege of being a Perpetual Lifetime Member of the Institute.
