The Benevolent School of Witches

Chapter 1: Pontico, and Revero, the NoBody Protectors were flat and lying in the meadow. They were not moving. Unless you stood directly over them, you would not see them at all. They blended in well with the grass. They were always watchful over the five girls whenever they were out and about on the grounds of the Galloway Mansion. The mansion was the centerpiece of the beautiful grounds that arouse just outside the outskirts of the German town of Passau as it sat on the Danube River. The grounds encompassed 47,000 acres in the general shape of an ellipse. And, just some 2 kilometers away was the Galloway Castle. Under this structure were the shafts to the gold and silver mine that provided the capital that financed the upkeep of the grounds, the mansion, and the School of Benevolent Witches. The Mother Supreme was none other than Tiffany Galloway, a cherubic woman, who was gifted with the very powers she sought to develop in each of her charges – the girls were raised, educated and supported by the School. This coven of 5 were the extraordinary ones. They were the guardian protectors of this magical place. The student body encompassed some 60 girls, give or take a few. These girls were all orphans, and were hand selected by Tiffany to attend the school. In each of them is she detected an honest and truthful disposition. There were also supportive recommendations from the governing council of the orphanage homes in which they had resided, as well as indications of a strong motivational desire to succeed in each of the girls that had come out in a personal with Tiffany. While receiving education in language, mathematics, philosophy, history and literature, they were also educated in the mystic/magical arts of herbology and potions, telekinesis and extra-sensory perception. There were also trained to levitate – each girl would have the power to fly by the time their schooling was complete. Of course, this ability to float on the air and to fly was kept hidden from the general population. This was a secret, not divulged openly. At graduation, they all had had sworn to uphold the good and benevolent nature of the school. They all recited the School Creed: “I pledge to be loyal to my country and to promote the development of a better society. I pledge to work together with all classes of people without regards to politics, race or religion I pledge by my conduct to promote international good will and strive to uphold work peace. I will not use my powers in a destructive manner or for evil intent” The School Creed was recited at the First Class of the day and when an assemblage was convened. And its tenets were expected to be followed. These five chosen ones were the supervisory preceptors of the student girls. They did oversee the actual running of the school. By the end of each year, they had developed a deep comraderie with each one of their students, and in essence they became a large extended family. The school’s mission statement was to provide support and to educate the students to enable them to be responsible citizens. In addition to the traditional education required in Germany for all children, there was special instruction in the special arts of herbology, mysticism, and martial arts. Tiffany, had the unique ability to identify girls who had an inclination to telekinesis (moving objects) and the select few (the 5 Guardians at the present time) had extra training in levitation and flying. So, Amanda, Olivia, Francesca, Marie and Alexzondrea had been elevated to guardian status following their formal schooling. Their status was marked by the Hydro Penta Coil Necklaces that they had received from Tiffany. They protected the students of the school and the school itself from bad intentioned interlopers. And, they in turn were guarded by the NoBodys, especially Pontico and Revero. Everything was copacetic for now, but dark clouds were beginning to amass on the horizon. Now, as was their rote, Alexzondrea, Amanda, Francesca, Marie and Olivia had gathered shortly before sundown on the hillock overlooking the deep blue lake that was located at the rear of the Mansion. The sweet scent of pine wafted over them from the nearby forest. Their seated position placed them on top of the huge granite boulder that shelved over the lake. The group always faced west. This afforded them an unobstructed view of the sunset, and at times they would experience the green sun flash as the sun dipped below the horizon. The setting sun served to enhance their general overall being and energized their special individual powers. Although they did not realize it, their position on this boulder placed them directly over the loadstone. This loadstone, served to focus and concentrate the life forces that rejuvenated and fortified their powers of perception, telekinesis and levitation. And with a green flash phenomena the loadstone received a tremendous boast in its stored energy. Only Tiffany and a select few of the NoBodys knew of the submerged cave under this rocky outcropping where the loadstone “lived”. And that nugget of information was her ultimate secret. The NoBodys that knew of this spot were bound to silence by their culture.
