Little Red Wagon

Perfect ceramics, flawless clay spotless china I see on every side strong, clean, perfect in every way amongst all of these, what am I? I’ve broken once, I’ve broken twice, I’ve broken deeper than I care to say each crack slices to the heart of me each flaw reflected in this broken vase. Pour something in, it just spills out I can’t hold water or seed I should be left aside, thrown out After all, what good could such a vessel be? But He filled me with something new, a light bright, abundant, no small amount and placed me up in others’ sight with vases like me, more than I can count. And our lights shine right through every break breaking into the surrounding night every fear, every weakness, every hurt and mistake turns into a beacon of a greater might. And so we stand for all to see with all our shame and all our ache reaching out to those in need to those who think that there’s no way. So, bless the day with its brand new start bless every break and pain I’ve seen bless every time I was torn apart and the Potter that uses broken vessels like me.
