PROLOGUE Once upon a time, there was a man. While this particular man has been recognized for centuries and known around the world as Santa Claus, this story will be an introduction like none you have ever heard. Why? Because this story will introduce him before he ever wore the red suit, before he traveled around the world on a reindeer-led sleigh, and before the North Pole was established as a territory at the top of the globe. This story takes you back to his humble beginning- way back when he was known as Nicholas Klausenstein in a small village in southern Kentucky. There are many stories about Santa Claus and countless books about Christmas too, but this story is different because it takes you back to Santa’s birthplace in Russellville. This story also describes his birth and why he went to the North Pole. As you read this introduction, you might think that it is simply the beginning of Nicholas’s story, but it’s not. It’s not the end of his story either, because it’s so much more than that. Through the introduction of Santa’s friends, you’ll find that this story is the end of a new beginning for Santa Claus. Through this story, you will discover good and bad news about Santa and his friends. The good news is that he has one friend that grew closer to him. The bad news is that he has one friend that grew further away. The best news is that, in the end, all of his friends grew closer, and their friendships grew together—forever. About the Author
Lionel Quartus Lowery II is a husband, father, and a man of faith. He has dual certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist and has proudly served in the United States Army for over 32 years. Lionel’s passion for science and adventure started at a young age, which eventually led him to join the Army and create his own adventures. Throughout his career, he has lived in various places and traveled all over the world. Lionel has held several leadership positions and has had the privilege to teach, lead, and mentor thousands of people. In his teaching, he often used stories to help soldiers and civilian employees understand the mission of the Army. In doing so, he learned a valuable lesson - it wasn’t about him or his stories, but how those stories brought people together. Now, he understands what truly matters - his genuine care for people and his ability to unite them. This realization led Lionel to develop the Lowery Care Construct, a concept that emphasizes caring for people, places, and things - in that order. With irreversible momentum, Lionel is determined to share his INSPIRE formula to inspire others, help them discover their future selves, and use stories to bring everyone together.
