About the Book

The story centers around the protagonist, Jack Sorenson. The story is both fictional and non-fictional. Some of the events portrayed relate to me, the author, took place. The remaining events are fictional. Jack is a crazed serial killer and relies on a ballpeen hammer, a buck knife and machete to carry out his diabolical plot against all the people that rubbed him the wrong way during his life. Catholic which carries over with him throughout the story. Jack is not without morals, however. He was born and raised The story concludes with Jack having an epiphany. He realizes the gravity of his killings and the damage that they caused. He decides to move to the islands in the Caribbean to finish off his days.

About the Author

Burl Sorenson was born in Rockville, MD and attended a Catholic parochial school. He comes from a large family of eight with his family living near him. Burl attended St. Mary’s College of Maryland and obtained his bachelor’s degree in biology with an emphasis in genetics and molecular biology. Subsequently, he attended the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) and majored in molecular biology and genetics. Following his stint at UMBC he attended the University of Maryland, College Park (UMCP) and took a position in their entomology department. Following this, he took a position with a capital equipment manufacturer selling laboratory appliances. Finally, he took a position with Microbiological Associates conducting cellular assays to a variety of commercial companies. Burl now resides in Silver Spring , MD and lives with his male cat named Simba.
