About the Book

This is my third book. It pretty much follows similar writing subjects and patterns as my first two books. All poems are written in song format with verses and choruses and sometimes a bridge. Some may even have a few chords or riffs to go along. I tried to keep a balance of fiction and non-fiction, as well as dark and happy places. I typically put myself into a character role when I write, so don’t be worried about my sanity, it’s just a way that I can justify anything I say. I do hope the songs make you think, smile, grimace or even shed a tear.

About the Author

Jeff grew up and went to school in West Virginia. He describes West Virginia as a wonderful, peaceful and sometimes a little wild place to live. He still has a lot of great friends, family and memories there. After graduating from Fairmont State and West Virginia University, Jeff moved to Florida for his job with the government at the age of 26. He is now 53, a few years from retirement. Jeff grew up loving sports and music, but at this point in his life, he knows he will never be a professional athlete or a musician. Jeff has accepted that, but he still has fun trying. Jeff has always been fascinated with lyrics, especially by artist that he grew up with and admired such as Axl Rose, Ozzy Osbourne, Zakk Wylde, Tom Keifer, Phil Anselmo and Blackie Lawless. Jeff loves writing lyrics because he can create any story and put himself into any character to write a song. Jeff truly put his heart and soul into this book. Some of his writings are based on true stories (some may exaggerated) and some may be total fiction. He likes it when people try to figure out if he really did some of the things he writes about. Jeff would love for someone famous or even a friend to borrow a song from one of his books and put it to music. Jeff dedicated this book to his kids, Tysen and Brooklyn.
